Head Coach - Jacob Bauchman
Siskins Alumni Jacob Bauchaman will be taking over the reins as Head Coach of the Stayner Siskins for the 2019/2020 Season. Jacob is a Barrie native who played hockey in the Barrie minor system. After being drafted by the Peterborough Pete’s in the 2008 priority selection. Jacob joined the Stayner Siskins where he played the 08/09 season before moving on to play in the OJHL. Jacob is entering his 6th season as a coach at the JR and minor hockey level.
Assistant Coach - Graham Pickard
Graham Pickard joins the Stayner Siskins for the 2019/2020 season in the roll of Assistant Coach. This will be Graham’s second year coaching Jr hockey beside head coach Jake Bauchman. Graham is a Barrie native and has a playing career that includes Jr.A to professional level hockey. Graham will bring the knowledge that he received during his playing career to help develop the Siskins in this coming season.

Assistant Coach - Brad Traves
Brad played minor hockey in Port Perry and Elliot Lake. He was drafted 149th overall in the 87 OHL draft to North Bay Centennial where he played for a season and a half, Brand then played Jr. B for the Barrie Colts, Collingwood Blues and Brampton Capitals. He earned his Bachelors degree while playing for the Brandon University Bobcats in the CIAU. After graduating Brand jumped right into coaching with the inaugural Huntsville Wildcats of the Metro Jr. B league. Brad coached Barrie Minor Hockey and Barrie AAA to this past season, primarily with Minor Midget and Midget Colts. Brad currently resides in Barrie with is 20 yr old son and 17 yr old daughter and just started his 24th year in policing. Brad is a Certified HP1 coach under Hockey Canada and regularly maintains and improves his hockey education and development with goals of coaching at the highest levels he can. Brad is very excited to be part of such a strong and historically rich organization like the Stayner Siskins and wants to help bring home an elusive Ontario Jr C title!

President & Director of Hockey Operations - Richard Gauthier
Richard Gauthier takes on two new roles this season, President of the Stayner Siskins and Director of Hockey Operations. Previously, Richard coached the Siskins for four seasons, winning several regular season titles. Richard also played with the Siskins and was a formidable defenceman in the 1990s. Before rejoining the Siskins as General Manager, Richard spent two seasons as Head Coach of the Collingwood Junior 'A' team.
Daryl Ashenden - Equipment Manager
Daryl Ashenden from Barrie Ontario. Spent 3 seasons as Assistant Equipment Manager for the North Bay Battalion of the OHL before moving onto the Head Varsity Equipment Manager for Concordia University in Montreal. Has played and coached AAA in Barrie as well as being a PJHL alumni playing for the Alliston Hornets
Goalie Coach - Kyle Runge
Goaltender Development Coach Kyle Runge. Kyle has had extensive experience working with top tier Goaltenders in his young coaching career. Kyle is an employee of the Ben Vanderklok Goaltending School, working as an instructor under the Nashville Predators Goalie Coach this past summer. Kyle's experience developing Goaltenders at the AAA and Junior level will be valuable to the Siskins as we progress through the season. Kyle grew up playing AAA hockey in the Barrie Colts and Quinte Red Devils organizations, winning an OMHA Championship title in 2007, and finishing his playing career between Junior A and C teams across Ontario.
Athletic Trainer - Nancy Spense
Nancy graduated from the Sheridan College, Sports Injury Management Program and is a certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA). She attended the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, Ontario and completing her Osteopathic Thesis and earning a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. She later completed her BSc(Hons) Osteopathy through the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (Plymouth University) in 2017.
Nancy regularly attends conferences, courses, and seminars to keep her skill set current and effective. She has served on the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) Board of Directors since 2012 and is currently the OAO Professional Practice and Conduct Committee Chair. Nancy is the President of the Canadian Federation of Osteopaths (CFO) and has served on the CFO Board of Directors since 2014.
As an Athletic Therapist, Nancy has attended competitions ranging from the recreational level to the international stage. She was the Athletic Therapist for the McMaster Men’s Varsity Soccer team for 10 seasons and was the Head Therapist for the Burlington Barracudas a team with the former CWHL. Nancy is active with the CATA and is currently serving as the Financial Officer for the Canadian Board of Certification in Athletic Therapy.
Nancy founded Action Rehab Therapy in 2000. She enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities. Now located near Barrie, Ontario, Nancy treats out of Quinn Rehab Services on Cedar Pointe Drive.

Advisor- Steve Walker
Steve brings to us over 20 plus years of professional hockey experience. Steve has been a part of 6 professional hockey championships. 5 with the Berlin Polar Bears of the German Elite league where he played 11 seasons and was the captain for 9 years, and 1 with the Detroit Vipers of the IHL where he was fortunate enough to play on a line with Gordie Howe in his last professional hockey game. Steve played in 4 exhibition games with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1999 and scored a shorthanded goal against long time Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Felix "The Cat" Potvin. Steve has represented Canada on 5 different occasions playing in the Swedish games and the Deutschland cup. He has also played in 3 Spengler Cups. Steve started his junior hockey career in Stayner as a 15 year old with the Siskins before returning to the area to raise his family. Steve took over the coaching position with 3 games remaining in the 2012/13 season before taking on the role full time this past season.
